day 5 began with us waking up at 0600hr. as usual, i ignored e morning call n esther had to wake me up. hee. :D had to crawl up from e double bed reluctantly n get ready to meet e rest for breakfast. it was a looong looong journey from nantou to gaohsiung. sat on e bus from 0800hr all e way till lunch time. midway, we stopped by a resting kiosk with 50 plus toilets. LOL. it was specially built for coaches gg on long journeys like us.

had lunch at ao xiang lou with chinese cusine. it was a darn filling meal with seafood, chicken n fruits. randy bought a b-dae cake for uncle mao. (: we sang b-dae songs, both eng n chinese version. it's really sweet to hear tt one of uncle mao's bdae wish is to go bai tou dao lao with his wife, sally. (: e onli uncomfortable thing was tt i had to stuff down a piece of cake after e filling meal. my stomach almost burst. lol.

after all tt food n travelling, we reached e british consulate.

i wanted to sit on e plank so tt a more scenic view cn be captured.

but for safety sake, i decided to jus sit on e bricks. haha.

then we gt a little bit zane n decided to do a jumping shot.

randy was laughing thru out e countless trials we did b4 everyone was caught jumping.

taiwan really has a lot of nice seas n lakes.

after leaving e consulate, we headed down to e ferry pier.

for our ride to chi jin island!!

off we go!!

and we reached!!

n i FINALLY was there!!

i must say it's really nt bad.

lili shopped ard for caps for her nieces n cousins.

i tried on some too.

but this sunhat is making me look really retro. hahas.

chi jin island sells tomatoes dipped with a special sauce.

nt bad. though it tasted pretty weird.

i still prefer boiled tomatoes though.

e ferry finally reached.

n we are off to taiwan kaohsiung mainland.

farewell chi jin!

it's a pity we didnt try e cheap seafood as all of us were still full from lunch.

wanted to eat e prawns there. ):

we headed down to kaohsiung 85 skytower after chi jin.
we lifted up to e 74th level to view kaohsiung harbour n city.

all buildings n roads.

n nw everyone is in e black spot. hahas.

next, we went to e pearl culture centre.

bought pearl powder for mummy (:

e technician is grindin e pearls tt i bought.

it's a transparent n open process so tt e customers get to see tt nth was added in e powder.

e powder was finally ready.

next, we went to e dragon and tiger pagoda n lotus lake.

there's really a dragon n tiger at e entrance of e 2 pagodas. hahas.

randy said tt we shld all go in from e dragon's mouth n come out from e tiger's.

n we have to shout "huat ah" when we come out. LOL.

haha.

e whole bunch of us finally went into e pagoda.

saw an altar with tu di gong gong figurine.

n we all came out,

shouting: :HUAT AH! LOL.

i missed all e fun we had then. ):

another temple was nearby e pagodas.

e magnificent lotus lake nite view. (:

last, we reached liuho nite market for dinner!

cnt believed we explored e whole of kaohsiung within a day.

tried their famous seafood porridge n it tasted really great!

ate yet another rd of smelly tofu.

but e smelly tofu in liuho tasted better than e one we had in shilin.

we had fish stick soup, salted prawns, white bittergourd juice n many other goodies.

went in to this really oldies shop to eat their noodles.

but i forgt e name of e noddles. hee.

it's a must try in liuho nite market though.

after eating n shoping ard, we boarded e coach n headed down to hotel kingdom. as it's our last nite in taiwan, e 6 of us grabbed watever money we had left n headed down e streets in search of any convenience stores tt sell e cup noodles which randy recommended. hahas.

i bought 4 n lili bought 10. faints*. we walked ard e area n came across this really old muai chee shop. tried on their handmade muai chee n after much tot, we decided nt to buy since it cnt last till e next day. but e boss is really nice to give us a generous piece to try. (:

we decided to buy randy a thank you card n found a bookstore. n i found aaron yan's photos there!! :D we headed back to e hotel after much shopping n went to lili n shat-yin's rm to write e card. i gt so tired tt i went back to my rm after writing. to prevent myself from fallin asleep, i purposedly switch on e tv. in e end, i still fell asleep n poor esther had to call e hotel staff to open e door for her after countless phonecalls n knocking on e door. oops. :D
